Its the Little Things....

Life isn't a matter of milestones but of moments.

In life we often forget about how the little things have blessed us in abundance.

The warm rays of the sun upon our face
The gentle breeze that rustles our hair
The little step that started a path
The hand of a friend in our time of need
The smile of a stranger that refreshed our spirit
A gem of wisdom from an elder
A baby's cry that lets us know we are needed
The colorful flowers to brighten our day
The crisp smell of an autumn day
An evening walk to soothe our soul

"Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones tend to take care of themselves." - Dale Carnegie

"A mighty flame followeth a tiny spark." - Dante Alighieri

"We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee." - Marian Wright Edelman

"Life is made up of small pleasures. Happiness is made up of those tiny successes. The big ones come too infrequently. And if you don't collect all these tiny successes, the big ones don't really mean anything." - Norman Lear

I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all." - Laura Ingalls Wilder

The best things in life are nearest:  Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you.  Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.  ~Robert Louis Stevenson
